Registered Nurse (RN) – Crisis Stabilization & Adolescent Residential Units

2 Years Psychiatric Unit RN experience required Required Certifications

BLS (AHA), CPI Must have CA RN licemse Covid card and 2 supervisior reference 

Requirements

• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Approved De-escalation Training Course
• Skills:
  • Strong psychiatric nursing knowledge
  • Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, short-stay psychiatric environments

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Location: Main Campus – Crisis Stabilization Unit & Ohana Adolescent Residential (Offsite)
Facility Type: NICOTINE-FREE (Nicotine testing included in pre-employment drug screen)
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
Scrub Color: Teal

Unit Details

Crisis Stabilization Unit (Main Campus)

• Bed Capacity: 8 Adult Beds, 5 Child/Adolescent Beds
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Patient Population:
  • Acute psychiatric patients requiring short-term stabilization
  • Common Diagnoses: Psychiatric crises requiring observation
  • Length of Stay:
    • Adults: Goal to discharge within 24 hours
    • Children/Adolescents: Goal to discharge within 72 hours
• Telemetry: Not required

Ohana Adolescent Residential Program (Offsite)

• Bed Capacity: 16 Adolescent Beds (Ages 12–17)
• Nurse Staffing: 2 RNs per 12-hour shift
• Typical Census: Up to 10 patients
• Patient Population:
  • Adolescents with psychiatric and behavioral health needs
  • Dual diagnosis cases accepted (e.g., mental health + substance use)
  • Length of Stay: Approximately 4–6 weeks
• Telemetry: Not required
