Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help shape the future of our OMS system, leading technical efforts and ensuring high-quality solutions that meet user needs. Ideal candidates will be proficient in Java, SQL, Terraform, and JavaScript, with strong communication skills to translate business requirements into scalable features. Experience in a startup environment and familiarity with agile methodologies are preferred, as we prioritize quick, high-quality delivery. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy microservices using Spring Boot, Java, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud technologies. Ensure best engineering practices, mentor team members, and conduct technical reviews. Manage inter-service communication, data consistency, and system integrations. Troubleshoot issues, improve system stability, and document technical decisions. Stay updated on emerging tech trends to foster innovation. Communicate project status and risks to leadership, aligning with business goals. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, with 5+ years in enterprise web application development. Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservice Architecture, and SQL/NoSQL databases. Experience with ORM frameworks, messaging tools like Kafka, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform). Knowledge of CI/CD, observability tools, and agile/lean methodologies. Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and experience with UI frameworks like React, HTML/CSS/JS. Familiarity with AI technologies and digital advertising. Ability to collaborate with vendors and contribute to Disney’s innovative storytelling.
