Job Summary: The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager is responsible for SEO strategies to drive business growth across all Journeys digital properties. The successful candidate will utilize best in class solutions and data-driven analysis to improve search engine ranking and product discoverability and will collaborate with internal and external partners to produce engaging and relevant content for search queries. This individual will grow organic search performance across all key metrics, including ranking, engagement, and conversion rate. The SEO Manager will work closely with teams across the organization, including Merchandising, Analytics, Marketing, and Operations to develop optimization strategies that stem from thorough analysis, extensive testing, and team cooperation. Role and Responsibilities: Create and maintain search engine keyword groups relevant to the Journeys business Identify opportunities for on-site technical SEO improvement, such as schema and markup, and collaborate with Site Operations to make necessary updates Partner with other Journeys departments on content opportunities such as blog, editorials, and keyword-rich product descriptions Manage backlinks, redirects, and 404 performance Create sustainable strategies and processes for continued SEO support across the organization Execute the day-to-day operation of optimization tactics Manage 3rd party vendor relationships and platforms related to SEO Serve as the primary point of contact within the organization for all things SEO Meet regularly with optimization partners and update teammates as needed Provide analysis and available reporting to leadership regarding SEO performance Evaluate new SEO-related vendors and technologies that align to Journeys business goals Education & Experience: BA/BS or equivalent working experience 2+ years of SEO experience in similar role Functional/Technical Competencies: Project/task management concepts and systems Ecommerce platform and Content Management System experience Understanding of the product lifecycle Analytical skills with experience interpreting test results and drawing conclusions Behavioral Competencies: Strong interpersonal skills Leader and team player Critical thinker and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
