John Knox Village is a not-for-profit Life Care Retirement Community offering a full range of independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care options for more than 1,000 senior residents on our 70-acre campus, located in Pompano Beach, convenient to major highways and transportation options.

As a Per Diem Pastor at John Knox Village of Florida, you'll play a vital role in enriching the spiritual lives of our residents in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). Your primary responsibilities will include developing and delivering relevant sermon topics that resonate with our diverse community. Additionally, you'll serve as a crucial liaison, communicating resident feedback, concerns, and comments to the Full-Time Spiritual Life Leader, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.

This position offers flexibility, with the potential for additional hours and responsibilities, allowing you to expand your impact within our vibrant community. Join us in fostering a spiritually nourishing environment where residents feel connected and supported.

To thrive as a Per Diem Pastor at John Knox Village of Florida, a unique blend of skills and qualifications is essential. You should possess a degree in religious studies or a related field, along with at least five years of preaching experience and ordination to provide Communion. A strong understanding of life phases, particularly end-of-life issues, will enhance your ability to connect with residents meaningfully.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as you'll engage personally with our community. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is necessary for effective communication. Being a creative thinker with a passion for people will enable you to craft relevant sermon topics while demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

Additionally, your problem-solving and leadership abilities will ensure that you can navigate challenges seamlessly, contributing to a supportive and enriching environment for our residents.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Degree in religious studies
• or a related field
