Landscape Spray Technician - Trainee

• Chemical Application:

  • Properly mix and apply herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and fertilizers according to manufacturer's instructions and safety regulations. 
  • Identify and diagnose plant diseases, insect infestations, and weed problems. 
  • Select and apply appropriate treatments to address specific issues. 
  • Ensure accurate and consistent application rates and coverage. 

• Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records via tech of chemical applications, including product used, application dates, and areas treated. 
  • Document any issues or concerns related to chemical applications or landscape maintenance. 

• Safety:

  • Follow all safety regulations and guidelines related to pesticide handling and application. 
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). 
  • Ensure proper storage and disposal of chemicals. 

• Communication and Customer Service:

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers about application needs and results. 
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of plant identification, pest and disease control, and herbicide/fertilizer application techniques. 
  • Understanding of safety regulations and pesticide handling procedures. 
  • Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance practices. 

• Skills:

  • Ability to accurately mix and apply chemicals. 
  • Ability to operate and maintain spray equipment. 
  • Ability to identify and diagnose plant problems. 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Experience:

  • Some experience in landscape maintenance or chemical application is preferred. 

Driver License and Clean Driving Record Required. Interviewing Daily.
