Aerospace Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Continental US The Opportunity: We are looking for a hands-on Aerospace Engineer to support design, analysis, and integration efforts for unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The ideal candidate will bring strong modeling and simulation skills, a practical approach to mechanical integration, and a willingness to contribute across the full development lifecycle. Responsibilities: Develop and modify CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks. Perform CFD and flow analysis to support aerodynamic design. Manage design files and workflows using Windchill (EPDM). Support physical assembly, integration, and testing of UAS components and systems. Assist in the creation of documentation, manuals, and technical materials. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support system-level integration. Participate in planning and coordination efforts across multiple projects. Qualifications: Required: Proficiency in SolidWorks and Windchill (EPDM). Experience conducting CFD or other aerodynamic flow analysis. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to be hands-on with builds and integration. Familiarity with 3D printing and additive manufacturing techniques. Strong organizational and communication skills. Background or interest in UAVs/UAS; RC pilot experience is a plus. Project management experience is a plus. Desired: Experience using Mission Planner for flight configuration and planning. RC pilot experience (fixed wing and multirotor). Demonstrated skills in RC aircraft build and construction. Familiarity with modern RC technologies such as Betaflight, EdgeTX, DJI FPV, INAV, and ExpressLRS. Ability to PID tune multirotor aircraft. Hobbyist experience with CNC routers, laser cutters, or foam cutters. $82,100 - 172,400 USD
